The Information Science Forum arranged a one day workshop for the students on the trendiest topic – “Cloud Computing, Big Data and Career Path” 23.02. 2016. The day long workshop was divided into three sessions. Mr Praveen Hanchinal of  INWHIZZ was the Resource person. The event began with the inaugural with Dr. C.H. Patil as the Chief Guest. The event concluded with the valediction and the distribution of certificates.


The Information Science Forum conducted special events MAD ADS and “Budding Entrepreneur” for the students on 16th February 2016. Many students participated very enthusiastically. They came up with different, funny ads. The events were judged by Shri Shivkumar Mullatti and Ms. Shiny R.


A one day UGC Sponsored National Seminar in Economics on “Micro Finance and Women Empowerment” was held on 22nd January 2016. The Seminar was inaugurated by Prof. C.M. Kotturshettar, Former Chairperson, Dept of Commerce, Karnatak University.  Also present on the occasion were Dr. I. S. Malekar, Secretary, Karnataka Northern Diocese, and former Principal, and other dignitaries and invitees.


A one day UGC Sponsored National Seminar in Commerce on “Financial Sector Reforms in India” was held on 22nd January 2016. The Seminar was inaugurated by  Prof. C.M. Kotturshettar, Former Chairperson, Dept of Commerce, Karnatak University .  Also present on the occasion were Dr. I. S. Malekar, Secretary, Karnataka Northern Diocese, and former Principal, and other dignitaries and invitees.


Freshers Day was celebrated by BCA  III and V semstudents on 12th September 2015 to welcome the I years


Students of B.Com and BCA very enthusiastically celebrated Teachers Day on 8th and 9th September 2016


Inaugural of Sports and Cultural Activities was held on 17th August, 2015 at 9:30 at Dr. Patilputtappa Sabhabhavana, Vidyavardhaka Sangha, Dharwad.  Prof.  V.V. Ghorpade, Joint Director, Collegiate Education Dharwad, also an alumnus of the college was the Chief Guest. He spoke the need for students to keep in pace with the fast growing world, to ready themselves to face the challenges life throws at them. Principal Dr Kamala Dhawale presided over the function and also presented a brief report on the achievements of the college.


The International Women’s Day was celebrated on 8th March along with the valediction of Ladies Association. Dr.Shobha Pai, a well known Gynecologist, the Chief Guest spoke on the importance of eating well, especially the need to have good, healthy breakfast at the start of the day.


Competitions like -Tattoo Making and Mehendi; Ramp Walk and Make up; Saree Draping, Hair Style and Nail Art and Traditional Pooja Thali arrangement competitions was conducted on 3rd, 4th, 6th and 8th February, 2016 respectively.


A workshop on DARE (Defense against Rape and Eve-teasing) was conducted on 8th January, 2016 for our girl students.  Techniques of self defense pre and during the time of rape was taught and demonstrated by master trainers from MSPL, Hospet’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) wing. The girls were much benefitted. This program was organised by the Ladies Association.
